It was almost a surreal feeling being in Alaska, my mind didn’t quite know how to handle it but, there I was in the most beautiful country anyone could look upon. At times it didn’t feel like I should be there ‘cause it only took 9 hours of flying to get there instead of 72 hours of straight driving. Time and distance become quite skewed when you’re flying, guess it’s just another reason why I prefer driving vs flying. I was there though(thank G-d) and the experience was beyond words. Truly a dream come true! We had awesome weather(the locals said it was usually warm and clear out…I know we were blessed) and we couldn’t have asked for better conditions to go out shooting. Each day revealed new experiences and new landscapes that were spectacular and quite unique. The majesty of the mountains that surround us during the whole duration of our trip were beyond words and simply put, awe inspiring.
We experienced everything from amazing fall colors to the abundance of blueberry bushes, from the billions of stars to the incredible northern lights, or from the highest mountain in North America to the longest tunnel in Alaska. Everything, every single aspect of our trip was simply incredible. To be able to see such amazing landscapes and beauty in the terrain that lay before us was truly humbling and unforgettable. There was many a time where I just sat down and stared at the beautiful landscape before me trying to take it all in.
Tell you what though, if you’re ever searching to find out who you truly are deep down inside and just need some time to contemplate life, Alaska is the place to do it! Spend a few days hiking around and sightseeing there and you’ll for sure find out more about yourself and what makes you, you!
All in all it was a truly spectacular adventure that I’d do again in a heartbeat and an amazing experience. So incredibly grateful for everyone that helped make this trip possible, along with Justice and Tyler, and especially my brother, this trip wouldn’t have been the same without ya.
